For the past several years, I have been exploring the world of shamanism, especially fascinated with the ways in which this beautiful spiritual practice and approach to healing dovetails with Healing Touch. In both approaches, matter/energy/spirit are intricately connected. This connection animates us and, when balanced, provides harmony and optimum health. Today’s research in quantum…
A client recently stopped by my office, hoping that I might have time in my schedule to see her. She was looking very depleted in a down-and-out sort of way. “Do you feel like you are getting sick?” “No,” Hilary replied. “A very close friend died a few days ago.” Fortunately, I was able to…
Imagine the irony. I have just spent ten glorious days on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with my husband and two dear friends. We have enjoyed the beauty of nature at “land’s end,” the tip of the Baja peninsula, with the Sea of Cortez on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. …
A few years ago, while picking up some produce at Whole Foods, I happened to run into an acquaintance of mine. We exchanged the usual hellos, followed by remarks about shopping at Whole Foods–a wonderful grocery store, but rather pricey. Then, my friend said something that struck me immediately, and has stayed with me ever since:
“I figure you pay now or
you pay later.”
Ah, the joy of working with children! They can be so amusing…like the time I was with a young girl, maybe 7 years old, who opened her eyes in the middle of a session, arched her neck, and looked up at me as I sat at the head of the massage table to tell me, “You look funny up-side-down.”
They are also amazingly resilient.
Elaine and I met a few months ago on, of all places, LinkedIn. I am now a believer in social media! When I read her profile and saw that she was a Healing Touch practitioner, I knew we shared a special bond. Upon further inspection, via her website, I discovered that she teaches Sacred Geometry, a subject of great interest to me. The fact that she is an author and artist is the icing on the cake! So, I contacted Elaine and asked if she would be interested in bringing her classes to the Chicago area. She said “Yes!” We had our first offering of Angel Readings and Sacred Geometry-Level 1 last March. Over 40 people participated between the two events. The feedback I received was outstanding!
We are inundated with so much information these days–
Workshops, websites, emails, books,
Videos, social media…all are hooks!
I find myself overwhelmed with it all, and make a conscious effort to avoid losing myself. But, when I met Elaine Grohman on LinkedIn, I knew I had to take a look.
The next Healing Touch for Children class is being offered at the Northfield Park District as part of our local “Screen Break,” an annual event that encourages families to turn of their screens (TV, video, computer, phone) for a week and turn on to new experiences. Are you a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, caregiver? Plan to invite a child and join me for an afternoon of learning, relaxation, and fun!
March 4 (ages 6-8) 12:45-3:00 OR March 11 (ages 9-12) 1:45-4:00
