The Creative Power of Healing Touch

Is Healing Touch more of an art or a science?

I’m often asked this and my response is that it’s a wonderful mix of both. We may not be able to see the subtle body or completely understand the mysterious process of energy therapy, but scientific study has shown us that its healing power is very real, measurable, and grounded in quantum physics. At the same time, working with energy is an invitation for Spirit to show up and guide us toward more inspired and creative ways of being.

As a practitioner, I enjoy being “in the flow” during sessions, and I especially love when clients report energetic shifts or breakthroughs in their own creativity. This can show up in new ways of framing old problems, a reawakening of forgotten interests, a clearer sense of purpose—sometimes, it literally shows up on a canvas.

My client Lexi is a high school art teacher. Though she’s a talented artist herself, she hasn’t been creating recently and was feeling stuck and restless. After our session, I gave her some homework—something I often do with clients. I recommended that she listen to a CD that would guide her through the  Self Chakra Connection.

Soon after listening to the CD, Lexi wrote that she could feel herself vibrating at higher and higher frequencies as she focused on the energy going up toward her head.

“I feel remarkably more grounded, centered, and happy,” she wrote. “Who could ask for anything more?”

Lexi also experienced an outpouring of creativity. She sent me photos of ten beautiful paintings! She pointed out the painting she’d done before practicing the Self Chakra Connection, and the one she did immediately following. I’m excited to share them with you.

Can you notice the different energy in each piece of art?

This month, as we fully embrace this season of  new beginnings, I’ll be taking a closer look at creativity and how we can use our energetic body to unleash this power. I’ll also be sharing more of Lexi’s art each week. In  the meantime, check out her website HERE.

Happy Spring to all!
